Homemade Biscoff Truffle Recipe

Along with I think most of the world right now, albeit a little late, I have jumped on the Biscoff bandwagon and absolutely LOVE it, whether it’s the biscuits or the spread. Biscoff in any form is amazing in my book.

I’ve seen a lot of Biscoff truffle recipes but they always included cream cheese which I really don’t like so I scoured the internet for an alternative. The recipe I found was unbelievably easy to make and only includes three ingredients with only five steps!  It truly is the easiest Biscoff truffle recipe out there and you know I love an easy recipe, especially when it makes you look like a pro! I actually halved the recipe because I was dubious that they would be delicious AND easy, but I can confirm that they really are. Obviously, I take no credit, this recipe is from the Hungry Happenings website who acknowledges Beth Jackson Klosterboer as the Author.

Virtual Pub Quiz Questions (1)

Since the start of isolation, I've been running pub quizzes for my friends and family at the weekends and we've had such a great time. Sometimes I just run them for fun, and sometimes I'll ask everyone to make a donation to a COVID-19 impacted charity in order to take part, which is a great way to raise some money for charity while we're all stuck at home.

I really don't like boring quizzes asking questions like, 'What is the Capital City of France', I like quizzes that make people laugh, make people think and that aren't easy, so I have spent absolutely hours scouring the internet for some brilliant trivia questions.

I guarantee laughter, and I guarantee you'll learn something new - but also be full of absolutely random and useless facts.

Easy (no bake) Millionaire's Shortbread

If you've read any of my recipes in the past, you'll know I like to make things that are easy and delicious, and also that I'm not great at presentation - but who cares if they taste good right? I started writing up food and baking recipes because I was sick of finding recipes that look great but that are SO hard to do. I wanted the receipes on my blog to be accessible and adaptable to what you have at home, because we don't all have cake tins and brownie tins in every single inch measurement sitting around - hence this EASY Millionaires Shortbread Recipe.

I have to admit, with these no bake Millionaires Shortbread, I didn't follow a recipe, I just had some salted caramel in my fridge from a recent cake I made and thought I would try and make something.

Things to do during self isolation and social distancing due to Coronavirus

I’m sure most of us are still in a little state of shock/denial of the state of the world right now but whether we like it or not, being in self isolation for the foreseeable is unavoidable. It’s not going to be over in a week or two, we’re in it for the long haul so the best thing we can do for our physical and mental well-being is to try where possible to keep a positive mental attitude and fill our time with enjoyable activities, albeit, inside.

When I was a lot younger, I used to say ‘only boring people get bored’ and used to pride myself on keeping entertained in any situation, okay besides at work, but that’s different! So I wanted to share some ideas with you all on some things to keep you occupied and some things I’ll be doing over the coming weeks to beat the boredom.
