Paris with Farfetch

When I first saw the invitation to Paris with Farfetch in my inbox, I definitely thought they had the wrong person. I mean, it's a pretty big deal. Whilst I'm not predominately a fashion blogger (because I can't reign my posts in to one topic!), the fashion side of my blog is definitely something I am currently expanding and working on more and more so I was beyond delighted to be given the opportunity to go.

Farfetch is a British International fashion website stocking luxury designer goods from over 1000 different labels. They have also partnered with over 400 carefully chosen boutiques across the globe offering an inspirational shopping experience to fashion-forward consumers.
With such a visionary fashion company, what better City to visit than Paris in the weeks leading up to Fashion Week?

After an early start, we all made our way to London ready to catch the Eurostar to Paris. Since I've been travelling so much with work recently, it was so nice to not be in charge for once and to be able to actually relax on a trip which was so lovely.

My big camera has been playing up for months now and just before the event, it finally died it's death which I was absolutely heartbroken about. I've given in to temptation and have now bought a shiny new one but unfortunately I didn't have it in Paris which made me feel a bit down on the day.

I sat next to the lovely Denisia on the train who kept me entertained the entire journey talking all things blogging.

We had a quick turn around once getting to Paris as we had lunch booked at the 58 Tour Eiffel Restaurant on floor 1 of the Eiffel Tower, so the views all around are stunning. They offer a 'chic picnic' style lunch where all courses are served at the same time in small pots. I had the chicken salad to start, grilled chicken and potato for main and a lemon curd dessert. It was quite touristy with a photographer coming round to take your photo during the meal but a perfect place if you want a quick lunch whilst enjoying the views of Paris.

After lunch we then headed up to the top of the Eiffel Tower to take in the views, which were spectacular. We were so lucky with the weather, almost too lucky in fact as it was about 34 degrees and we all turned into a bit of a sweaty mess after climbing up from the first to the second floor... which FYI is a long way!

Once back down on the ground, we had a lovely photographer, Camille, waiting for us at the bottom ready for a mini photoshoot.

Being completely honest, I felt totally out of my depth, the other girls totally knew exactly what to do, how to pose, and where to put each inch on their bodies to get the best shot. I however, wasn't so graceful.

Looking back at the photos, I wish I'd been more patient with myself and spent more time with the photographer because I do genuinely love the photos that were taken on the day. This experience definitely gave me more confidence to pursue the fashion side of my blog and give me the push I needed to take more fashion photos and even feel more comfortable with my abilities in this area. I have lots more fashion related posts in the pipeline for the future which I'm really excited about.

We then got into a taxi to travel over to Joseph Boutique, one of the stores that works closely with Farfetch. "Joseph has established itself as the go-to for the latest designer fashions. Even after launching its eponymous label the brand continues to champion new design talent, which is stocked across the globe at the brand's flagship stores."

We had lots of time to browse the beautifully laid out store and their stunning pieces. I fell in love with so much, particularly the structured pieces.

  5. I haven't been to Paris in such a long time! I desperately want to go back, mainly for the shopping - but also for the Macarons and hot chocolate!
