2015 Reflection and Achievements

I know everyone is probably bored of reading these posts but I love reading back on them to remember everything that happened over the past year, particularly if I'm feeling down or lacking motivation.

January

I got offered my dream job in events. My first job in London and an exciting start to a whole new chapter of my life.

I organised my first proper Blogger event #nyLDNmeet with two fellow bloggers and met some of the people who are my best friends today

February

I realised my dream job wasn't my dream job and decided to concentrate more on my blog and organising blogger events on the side

March

I laughed until I cried watching Book of Mormon for my birthday

Luke and I decided to put his house on the market and buy a house together

April

Luke and I put an offer in on our first house

May

I fell in love with Barcelona

I missed my flight and had to sleep on the airport floor - first time that's happened I promise!

June

We went on our first (and definitely not the last) Blogger Holiday

July

I left what I thought was my dream job for my actual ultimate dream job

August

The house we put an offer in on fell through and I cried for so long (and wrote a very ranty post here)

September

We found our dream house

Invoiced our first client through Works Events

October

We booked our third blogger holiday - #BloggersInvadeIbiza

November

I visited Turkey for the first time as well as the IBTM trade show, representing Works Events internationally for the first time (you can read all about the gorgeous hotel we stayed in here)

December

We FINALLY exchanged and completed on our house and moved in on the 11th December ready to celebrate Christmas and New Year in our new home

---

It's crazy to think how much my life has changed this year. A year ago I'd moved into Luke's flat and was looking for my first London job. Fast forward 12 months and we own a house, and I own two businesses. I thought the original house we put an offer in on was the dream but in hindsight with the amount of work it needed doing to it, it would have been hell, and probably the end of our relationship through the stress! Proof that you can't always plan, because things change, but ultimately, everything happens for a reason.

Thanks to everyone who has read Blonde Vision this year, I can't tell you how happy it makes me. Also thanks to everyone who has attended my events this year, particularly the people who travel from the other end of the country. Supporters are always noted, and compensated whenever possible. I hope to meet more of you lovely lot in 2016 - keep an eye on this post to check up on our future events.

I feel like 2015 was for laying the foundations, and 2016 for building the Empire

Wishing everyone a 2016 full to the brim of love, luck and laughter.

Love Lauren xx

  1. Nah not fed up of these posts yet, love them! Looks like your year - what with finding your dream dream job and buying a new house - was pretty good. Here's to an even better 2016, with no sleeping on airport floors.

  3. Congratulations on your two businesses and moving into your "dream" home!

When one door closes another door opens - maybe not when we are expecting.

    Expecting great things in 2016!
