Sleek MakeUP’s NEW Lip VIP Collection Launch

If you've known me a while, you'll know that I've only very very recently started to wear lipstick, and even since then, I haven't experimented too much. When the invite for the launch of Sleek's new Lip VIP collection popped into my inbox, I said yes straight away as I wanted to try and broaden my horizon's on the lippy front and find out more about what Sleek MakeUP has to offer.

Interior Inspiration & 'Before' Photos: Bedroom

This is one room that is very very nearly finished thank goodness!! If you follow me on Twitter/have me on Snapchat you would have seen the progress and probably followed the dramas we've had with the bed! First of all we had the wrong size, then we had to pay to exchange and the new one wouldn't fit up the stairs so out came the window and Luke along with our very handy carpenter who was fitting the kitchen ended up hoisting the bed up the side of the house and through the window. Honestly, nothing is ever easy!...

Interior Inspiration & 'Before' Photos: Kitchen

If you follow me on Twitter, for the last week, you would have been subject to my constant complaining about having no kitchen whilst we decorate. I thought it wouldn't be too much of a problem but it's a nightmare, and extremely frustrating when everything you own is covered in dust, including the drink you have only just made!

Everyone who has seen our current kitchen thinks we're absolutely mad to rip it all out, which yes we are, but if you knew my boyfriend, you'd understand how much he can't stand it!

Interior Inspiration & 'Before' Photos: Dining Room

We have an open plan living and dining room but with the corner sofa we've ordered it is going to split the room up a bit which I quite like.

As it's just Luke and I, let's be honest, we usually eat dinner on the sofa in front of the TV so I don't see the point in a massive dining room table. It's a massive pet hate of mine in small rooms and such a waste of space. We do however want big dining room chairs that can be taken into the living room area when we have a lot of friends round so they need to be seriously comfy.

Interior Inspiration & 'Before' Photos: Lounge

If you haven't already guessed from my bombardment of all forms of social media, just before Christmas, Luke and I moved into our new home... FINALLY.

When our original house fell through, I banned myself from pinning house related anything on Pinterest as I didn't want to jinx things second time round. Now we're in and living in a building site while we decorate EVERY single room (!!) at once, to create our dream home.

Pinterest has been a god send for sourcing ideas and getting everything on one place so now, before the work is done, I wanted to share with everyone our inspiration and before photos in the hope that in a month of so I'll be able to share the finished product!

Every day this week I'll be covering a different room of our house and up today, the lounge/living room/whatever you want to call it!

Kindle Book Reviews #1

I have always been a massive reader. My wardrobe at my parents house used to be stacked full of books and I'd spend absolutely hours reading. Whilst I love to hold an actual book in my hand, firstly, it's an expensive hobby seeing as I very very very rarely read the same book twice, they can be heavy to carry around in handbags for tube time reading, and the books take up SO much room at home yet I can't stand to throw them away!

For Christmas this year, I was lucky enough to get a Kindle from my parents. It's something I had always thought about buying amd umm'ed and ahh'ed over for ages.

Beautiful But Affordable Workout Clothes & Accessories

Hopefully everyone who made New Years Resolutions to work out and keep fit it still going strong. I haven't been working out at much as I hoped since being ill/moving house/the weather dropping to Arctic temperatures. But, I'm determined to get back on the wagon, and what better motivator is cute work out clothes? For me, with workout clothes, the brighter and funkier the better. I feel like I can only pull off colour clashes and mixing patterns if it's gym wear.

With the athleisurewear trend being absolutely massive at the moment, the range of options we have available has increased massively. I've searched the internet long and hard to find the very best of beautiful yet affordable work out clothes, because let's face it, we're all feeling January squeezing our bank accounts. As always with these posts, all the photos are clickable and go straight to the retailer for easy shopping for you! A lot of these items are currently in the sale though so get them while they're there!

Winter Warmers Wishlist

It's official. Winter is here. We got smarmy in December because it wasn't that cold. We complained it didn't feel very Christmassy because it wasn't that cold. Well it sure is cold now! Thanks January! It's the kind of cold weather that no matter how many layers you squeeze on, you're still cold!

The good thing about the sudden freezing cold weather is that it's a great time to stock up on your knitwear so I've put together my best buys with clickable photos so you can get shopping quickly and easily, and the best part... most of them are in the sale!

New Year, New Look

In my last post, I talked about my plans and resolutions for 2016 (you can read it here). I mentioned that I've disliked by blog template for a long time and this year was definitely the right time for a redesign to freshen up the look of Blonde Vision.

A few nights ago I tried to be clever and edit my blog header as I just didn't like it any more but I accidentally, deleted the whole thing. After my poor attempt to replace it, I went to start blogging and realised I hated by template so much it was putting me off writing posts because people would see it.

I love blogging but was being put off by not being happy with my design so yesterday, I decided to bite the bullet and buy a pipdig template. And here we are...

I love my new design and even better, it's one of my 2016 resolutions ticked off already!

Love Lauren xx

2016 Plans and Goals

Every year I like to set some plans and goals that I would like to achieve over the next 12 months. They're not usually particularly specific and I don't get upset if I don't achieve them but it's a great way to keep on track throughout the year, and will also help me writing my achievements post this time next year, like I did for 2015 here

Life

Visit a new place or Country

Every year I try and visit a new place or country. Last year, I was lucky enough to go to Istanbul with work but I don't have any plans for this year... yet.

Raise money for charity
I plan to do this through some of the blogger events I have planned this year. More information will be announced soon!

2015 Reflection and Achievements

I know everyone is probably bored of reading these posts but I love reading back on them to remember everything that happened over the past year, particularly if I'm feeling down or lacking motivation.

January

I got offered my dream job in events. My first job in London and an exciting start to a whole new chapter of my life.

I organised my first proper Blogger event #nyLDNmeet with two fellow bloggers and met some of the people who are my best friends today

February

I realised my dream job wasn't my dream job and decided to concentrate more on my blog and organising blogger events on the side
