Boots Haul #1

Since I've blogging, I feel like I've spent so much more money in Boots! Particularly since I found my Boots card and downloaded the app to get personalised offers!

I popped in to get some dry shampoo and ended up coming out with all of this! Many of these products I've been meaning to buy for ages from reading reviews by other bloggers so I finally took the plunge!

Handy Tools

Boots Cotton Wool Doubled Faced Oval Pads
Boots Essentials 100 Cotton Wool Pads

I use these cotton wool pads for pretty much everything from removing a face scrub to taking make-up off with Micellar water so they're really handy to have!

Hair

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical

I literally live off dry shampoo, my hair gets so greasy quickly and it's a great way to freshen up and give it a boost so this was definitely top of my list to buy! I've tried loads of dry shampoos but this has definitely been the best one I've found. I love all the different scents you can get too!

Charles Worthington Salon at Home - Volume and Bounce Texturising Spray
Goody Give it a Lift - Volumising Boar Brush and Teasing Comb

I'm on a mission to find something, anything that can help with the dull, limp and lifeless excuse of a hair-do! I think this explanation can have a post of it's own at a later date but I'm really looking forward to trying these products! If anyone has any recommendations of something volumising that won't make my hair greasy, please let me know! I'll try anything!!

Face

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in N55

I finally bought these two products after seeing so many good reviews from other bloggers on both of them. I'm always on a hunt for the perfect foundation so I'll be writing a review of this one soon to see if it really does live up to the hype!

Body

Vaseline Spray and Go in Cocoa

This spray and go moisturiser is another product I have bought thanks to the lovely recommendations of other bloggers. I've tried it once already and I have to say I'm insanely impressed. I can spray my whole body in a few seconds (a major plus point for lazy people like me!), it rubs in easily and smells amazing too!

Dove Go Fresh Deodorant in Grapefruit and Lemongrass

Bit of a boring but essential purchase but I love this deodorant! It's like a constant perfume and sells amazing.

I plan to review a couple of these products in more depth so keep an eye out for future posts if any of them interest you!

Beautiful BusyBee Candle Haul

I was introduced to Busy Bee Candles by the beautiful Jaq at Lazy Days Beauty (check her blog out here, it's one of my faves!), and wanted to share my two massive haul with you all because the products are just so amazing!

I've mainly got Magik Beans because I love that you get loads in a box, they smell great for ages and you can mix up the smells if you're brave enough! So far I have three burners, because obviously I needed one in my bedroom, in the bathroom for those lovely long baths and one at my boyfriends house!

My Magik Beans collection consists of:
Fresh Coffee
Fresh Cut Grass
Marshmallow Delight
Serenity Spa
Mint Choc Shock
Sea Spa
Peppermint Kisses
Baby Powder
Cheat n Clean
Winter Wonderland
Mango and Papaya
Tropical Retreat
Revive
Cool Citrus Basil
Fresh Bread (Missed this one out in the photo!)

My Mini Wax Tart Melts collection consists of:
Hawaiian High
Ocean Spray
Cool Citrus Basil
Pineapple Zing

My Premium Soy Wax Tart Melts collection consists of:
Chocolate Orange
Tutti Fruitti

Firstly, I was so surprised at how lifelike everything smelt, it's incredible! So far I have burnt the Mango and Papaya and the Pineapple Zing and I love them both so much! If even makes the room smell lovely when it's not even burning which is definitely an added bonus coming in from work to a lovely smelling room!I'm so excited to try the premium soy wax tart melts (shown in the above photo), apparently they change smell as they burn so I'll be trying that one next!

The price on all their items is unreal - so cheap for a brilliant quality product. This is what gave me the push to buy my original order. If you haven't already, check them out HERE! Make sure you sign up to the mailing list too as they often send discount codes - I got most of this on a 25% code!

Next on my list to try is anything from the home fragrance range so keep your eyes peeled for my next haul post - I'm sure it won't be long!

Throwback Thursday with Avon and Pixiwoo

A bit of a personal post on the blog today; a throwback to when I worked with Avon and Pixiwoo on a short colour consultancy film. I'm sure you all know by now that I'm an Avon rep, and have been for the last four and a half years! Throughout that time myself and my business have been featured in newspapers and magazines, as well as on TV and radio.

A couple of years ago, Avon very kindly asked if I'd like to be a part of some filming with celebrity make-up artists, and obviously I jumped at the chance! The film was to showcase a makeover to suit particular hair colours so obviously, I was 'the blonde'!

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Queens of the beauty world, Sam and Nic Chapman a.k.a Pixiwoo. I know by the insane amount of posts I see daily about Real Techniques brushes that you all know who they are!

I was whisked off to London by a very lovely chauffeur before settling down in my hotel before an evening out with the Avon team and the other ladies I'd be filming with. Being only 19 and not exactly full of confidence at the time, I did feel completely out of my depth but everyone was so welcoming and friendly I began to feel right at home. We had an early(ish) night, ready to be up at the crack of dawn to get to set.

We arrived at the venue to a bright and airy room and within about an hour the technical team had and created a full set. It was incredible to watch having just studied Media for an a-level, I got to see filming and production from start to finish, in front of and behind the camera!

First of all, Sam and Nic filmed a piece about the 'Pixiwoo story' which was really interesting to find out more about them. We were then filmed having our make-up done by either Sam or Nic, it was incredible watching them work their magic on the other two ladies but we weren't allowed to see what we looked like ourselves so the 'reveal' was all real!!

We were the taken into the dressing room where I had a rack of lovely clothes waiting for me to try and a hair stylist to do my hair. All the mirrors had been taken away so I had no idea what I looked like which was quite scary!

Whilst on film, we were lead out by Sam and Nic with our eyes closed ready for the big reveal and they really did do an amazing job! We then had a chat on the sofa about make-up and colours that suit particular hair styles, before the 5 of us gathered on the sofa to pop a bottle of champagne and celebrate our new looks!

Overall it was an incredible experience, and definitely something I would love to do again now I'm a bit older and have gained more confidence in myself through my business and going to Uni! It was so great to work wit Sam and Nic, they are both so lovely. The link to the video is below - I definitely cringe every time I see it but I hope you all enjoy it!
